Adirondack Outdoorsman Show set for Johnstown

The 2023 Adirondack Outdoorsman Show will take place at the Johnstown Moose Club (109 South Comrie Ave/Rte 30A Johnstown) on Saturday February 25th (10am-6pm) & Sunday February 26th (10am-5pm).

The show will be geared towards the tastes of Hunters, Fisherman and Outdoors Enthusiasts, with exhibits containing items for sale pertaining to: hunting & fishing gear/supplies, guns, archery, trapping, camping, hiking, snow shoeing, guides & charter services, taxidermy and antique hunting & fishing gear.

“Featured Guests” will include Trapper John Sawyer, as well as book authors Robert J. Elinskas and Don Williams.  Sawyer will have an exhibit on the history of trapping, along with a display of hats made from the pelts of 16 different species he has trapped over a 50+ year trapping career.  Elinskas, the author of 10 books related to Adirondack Hunting, returns with his newest book titled “The Wild Side of Northern New York.”  The book contains stories on hunting, fishing and trapping from across the Adirondacks, including Lake George and the St. Lawrence River.  Williams, the author of 18 books about the Adirondacks, returns with his newest book called “Grandfather’s Tool Chest”, which features write-ups on 400 tools used from the 1700’s to the early 1900’s.

Elinskas and Williams will have copies of their books available for purchase. In addition, many other authors and industry experts are scheduled to be on hand throughout the weekend discussing Outdoor & Hunting/Fishing subjects with attendees.
