5th Annual Adirondack Outdoorsman Show
set for Johnstown
The 5th Annual Adirondack Outdoorsman
Show will take place at the Johnstown Moose Club (109 South Comrie
Ave/Rte 30A) on Saturday
February 20th (10am-6pm) & Sunday February 21st (10am-5pm).
The show will be geared towards the tastes of Hunters, Fisherman
and Outdoors Enthusiasts, with Exhibits containing items for sale
pertaining to: hunting & fishing gear/supplies, guns, archery,
trapping, boating, camping, hiking, snow shoeing, guides & charter
services, taxidermy, snowmobiling, collectable knives, antique
hunting & fishing gear, wildlife art & books and Adirondack
Furniture.
In addition, many featured guests, authors and industry experts
are scheduled to be on hand throughout the weekend giving seminars
and discussing Outdoor & Hunting subjects with attendees. A
special guest appearance will be made by Fly Fishing & Fly
Tying writer Morgan Lyle. Lyle regularly contributes stories on
both subjects to Flyer Tyer Magazine, New York Outdoor News and
The Schenectady Daily Gazette. Joining Lyle, will be fellow outdoor
writer Dan Ladd, who is the author of “Deer Hunting in the
Adirondacks”. Ladd also hosts the popular www.adkhunter.com website; while contributing articles on the outdoors and hunting
to The Chronicle Newspaper (Glens Falls), Outdoors Magazine (Vermont)
and a bi-weekly Adirondack Hunting and Fishing Report for the Press
Republican (Plattsburgh). A special exhibit featuring the Matt
Towne Double-Horned Buck that was shot in 2008 in Fulton County
will also be on hand.
Door prizes of gear and equipment will be given away throughout
the weekend. Admission to the event is $5 for adults and $1
